On July 12th, members of Rother District’s Cabinet met with senior officers and committee chairs to set out their broad vision for the District over the coming years.
Ambitious plans were discussed in the context of the current financial situation and in light of the Rother Alliance administration’s agreed priorities for 2023-2027. Despite the challenges faced by the Council, there was a shared sense of optimism amongst attendees.
Speaking after the event, Council Leader Doug Oliver said, “I am really pleased with the progress we are making. On Cabinet, we have a skilled and passionate group of Councillors with a wide variety of talent and experience from finance to housing and everything in between. When partnered with our hard working staff and officers, the result is an ambitious and effective Rother District Council that can deliver for residents.”
